V-RING TRELLEBORG VA00300 VDT50 FKM – 27 × 42 × 7.5 mm
Trelleborg V-Ring Type A - VA00300, FKM VDT50 Rotary axial seal for protecting bearings and other rotating parts against dust, contaminants, water and other external influences. Dimensions 27 × 42 × 7.5 mm, Black

The Trelleborg VA00300 VDT50 V-ring is an all-rubber Type A rotary shaft seal designed for direct mounting onto the shaft. The V-ring rotates with the shaft, and its flexible sealing lip makes axial contact with a fixed opposing surface.
The design creates relatively low contact pressure, thereby limiting friction and heat generation. V-rings are primarily used to protect bearings and rotating mechanisms against the ingress of dust, dirt, and water, while simultaneously helping to retain lubricant within the protected area. They can also serve as a secondary protective seal in front of the main shaft seal.
The TWVA00300-VDT50 is made of FKM fluoroelastomer, VDT50 compound. The material is characterised by very good resistance to ozone, weathering, and ageing, low gas permeability, and is also suitable for use with mineral oils and lubricants at higher temperatures. The manufacturer specifies an approximate operating range for VDT50 from −20 to +200 °C, and short-term up to +230 °C; actual usability depends on the design and operating conditions.
Typical application:
Bearing housings, rotating shafts, electric motors, pumps, gearboxes, industrial machinery and equipment, main shaft seal protection, applications with oils and lubricants, and operations with increased requirements for temperature and chemical resistance.
