EPDM O-rings
EPDM O-rings are suitable for applications with water, hot water, glycol fluids and for outdoor use. They feature very good resistance to ozone, weathering and ageing, while maintaining flexibility even at lower temperatures.
The typical temperature range of EPDM seals is approximately −45 °C to +150 °C. They are most commonly used in sanitary, heating, water systems and technical applications where long-term reliability is essential.
EPDM is not suitable for mineral oils, fuels and most petroleum-based media. For these applications, we recommend choosing NBR or FKM material.

Recommended Use of EPDM O-Rings
EPDM O-rings are most commonly used in applications involving water, hot water, steam, glycols and outdoor environments. They are particularly suitable for sanitary engineering, heating systems, water distribution, cooling and industrial applications where resistance to ozone, ageing and weathering is essential.
Conversely, they are not suitable for mineral oils, fuels and most petroleum-based media. For these applications, it is more appropriate to choose O-rings made of NBR or FKM material.
When to Choose EPDM O-Rings?
EPDM is the correct choice for sealing water, hot water, steam, glycol liquids and outdoor applications. Thanks to its resistance to ozone, UV radiation and ageing, it is suitable for heating, sanitation, water systems and technical equipment exposed to weathering.
EPDM is not suitable for mineral oils, fuels and petroleum media – in these cases, we recommend NBR or FKM material.
