Vacuum Fittings And Flanges ISO / KF
Our range includes a wide assortment of vacuum flanges, couplings and fittings in all industrially standardised sizes – from ISO-KF (NW) and ISO systems to aluminium and stainless steel flanges. These components are essential for the construction and maintenance of vacuum systems, ensuring a reliable, leak-tight and secure connection between the individual parts of the equipment.
KF-type systems (ISO-KF), manufactured according to DIN 28403 and ISO 2861, are designed for use in low and high vacuum up to 1 × 10⁻⁹ mbar. The connection of two flanges is achieved using a sealing ring (centring ring with O-ring, or alternatively an outer retaining ring) and a clamp with a conical surface, which ensures uniform pressure and easy assembly or disassembly.
We supply parts in all industrially standardised sizes – from ISO-KF (NW) and ISO systems to aluminium and stainless steel flanges.
- High leak tightness: up to 10⁻⁹ mbar with the correct selection of seals.
- Modularity: easy assembly of vacuum chambers from pre-prepared parts.
- Flexibility: a wide range of fittings (elbows, T-joints, reducers) for various geometries.
- Fast maintenance: particularly with KF, you can replace parts without tools

Use in Vacuum System Installation
KF type systems (ISO-KF), manufactured according to DIN 28403 and ISO 2861, are designed for use in low and high vacuum up to 1 × 10⁻⁹ mbar. The connection of two flanges is achieved using a sealing ring (centering ring with an O-ring, or an external retaining ring) and a clamp with a conical surface, ensuring uniform pressure and easy assembly or disassembly.
Typical applications:
- Laboratory vacuum systems (analytics, research)
- Surface treatments (PVD, CVD)
- Semiconductor industry
- Vacuum equipment in the food industry
KF and ISO Standards
| Designation | Description | Diameters | Sealing | Assembly speed |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| KF | “Klein Flansch” – small diameter, modular system for fast connection with a clamping ring | DN 10–50 mm | metal (polytetrafluoroethylene)? or elastomer O-ring | very fast (clamp system) |
| ISO | Standardised flanges (ISO-K, ISO-F) for larger diameters and higher requirements | DN 63–500 mm | metal or elastomer O-ring | robust, bolted joints |
KF (DIN 28403)
- Most commonly used in smaller vacuum systems.
- Connection using a wing-nut clamp – tool-free assembly and disassembly in a few seconds.
ISO (DIN 28404)
- Two subtypes: ISO-K (weld-on flange) and ISO-F (flat flange).
- Higher flow rates and larger volume distributions; assembled with bolts and nuts, suitable for both laboratory and industrial vacuum lines.
What is a vacuum flange?
- Flange is a circular part with holes for bolts, which is attached to the edge of a pipe or chamber.
- It ensures a mechanical connection and simultaneously forms a sealing surface for a vacuum seal (O-ring or sealing ring).
What is a vacuum fitting?
- Fitting refers to smaller connecting components – reducers, elbows, T-joints, valve adapters, etc.
- It allows for a change of direction, diameter, or the connection of another attachment in the piping.
