Reducing nipple 1" BSPT × 1/2" BSPP M/F – galvanised cast iron
Galvanised Cast Iron Reducing Bush 1" BSPT Male × 1/2" BSPP Female for threaded piping systems. Hexagonal reducing bush M/F according to EN 10242 for water, air, steam, gas and other suitable non-aggressive media.
A reducing bush, also referred to as a reducing sleeve or reducing bush, is used to create a transition between two different sizes of threaded connections.
The Male/Female (M/F) design combines a 1" BSPT external tapered thread and a 1/2" BSPP internal thread. The hexagonal outer part allows for easy installation and removal using a standard spanner.
The fitting is made of malleable cast iron EN-GJMW-400-5 (W40-05) and features a galvanised / zinc-plated surface finish to increase corrosion resistance.
This is a threaded pipe fitting according to EN 10242 with threading according to ISO 7-1. It is specifically designed for piping systems for water, air, steam, gas and other compatible non-aggressive media.
The maximum working pressure is 25 bar and the specified working temperature range is −20 to +120 °C.
