Danfoss AVTA 15 – thermostatic water valve (003N2114)
Danfoss AVTA 15 (003N2114) is an automatic thermostatic water control valve for regulating cooling water flow based on sensor temperature (non-electric). Opens as temperature increases, G 1/2 thread, Kv 1.9, 2.3 m capillary (reinforced), range 10–80 °C.
Danfoss AVTA 15 is a mechanical (self-acting) regulating valve that proportionally controls the cooling water flow according to the setting and sensor temperature – without the need for power. The valve opens as the sensor temperature rises, so it automatically adds more cooling as the equipment heats up.
In practice, it is an excellent “maintenance-free” choice for temperature stabilisation in equipment where electronics are not desired, providing only reliable regulation for example for heat exchangers, condensers, compressors, sterilisers, coolers and further service/maintenance use in water-cooled systems (e.g. technological units and assemblies with temperature stabilisation).
The valve can be installed in both the cooling water supply and return lines; a flow direction arrow is located on the body and it is recommended to install a filter (FV) before the valve.
